Beginner Structural Engineer I- Skyscrapers

New York City has some of the most famous skyscrapers in the world!  Which NYC skyscrapers are important and why? How is it possible to build that high up? What’s inside these tall buildings, what are they made of? Learn the history of skyscrapers and design your own using the principles of structural engineering learned in class.

Design Thinking (DT) is an open-ended approach that connects other disciplines and allows us to introduce children to such different subjects as math, architecture, design, geography, climate, as well as a variety of cultural and social issues. The class fosters the ability to recognize complex patterns and creatively solve challenging problems
